  34. This file descibes the only terms by which LTI permits
  35. Commercial distribution of LTI SafeGard.  It also details
  36. the terms for non-profit distribution of LTI SafeGard.
  37. Anyone not covered by the these terms must contact LTI
  38. to receive terms in writing governing their use of 
  39. LTI SafeGard.

  42. "Commercial distribution" means to distribute for money
  43. or other consideration, and includes copying onto Disks, 
  44. CD-ROMS and all other tangible media now or subsequently
  45. known, and distribution by retail rack, direct mail, 
  46. catalogue, advertisment, or trade show.
  47.  
  48. "Non-Profit distribution" means to distribute the full
  49. LTI SafeGard package in an unmodified form without any
  50. form of remuneration (monitary or other).  This may include
  51. but is not exclusive to commercial Bulletin boards (BBS's),
  52. individual users and/or user groups.
  53.  
  54. NOTE: It is explicitly forbidden to distribute LTI SafeGard
  55.       in conjunction with any other package or service, be it 
  56.       for monitary return or given away without remuneration. 
  57.       Anyone wishing to provide LTI SafeGard in such a manner
  58.       must contact LTI to receive written permission prior 
  59.       to any distribution.

  62. COMMERCIAL DISTRIBUTION:
  63. ========================
  64. Those wishing to distribute LTI SafeGard in any form must contact 
  65. LTI to receive a distribution license and a MASTER COPY of the 
  66. most recent version of SafeGard which then must be distributed 
  67. without modification. Any additions or subsequent additions to 
  68. this MASTER COPY must be negotiated with LTI prior to any 
  69. distribution.

  72. ASP Associate (Disk Vendor) Member Information:

  74. Vendors who are ASP Associate Members in good standing are
  75. hereby granted permission to distribute LTI SafeGard.

  78. Other (Non-ASP) Disk Vendor Information:
  79. ----------------------------------------
  80. Shareware Distributors and Disk Vendors who are not ASP Associate
  81. Members, but who wish to distribute SafeGard must contact LTI and
  82. obtain written permission in advance of any distribution.

  93. NON_PROFIT DISTRIBUTION:
  94. ========================
  95. Those wishing to distribute LTI SafeGard without monitary 
  96. compensation or other form of remuneration are hereby granted the
  97. right to distribution provided that:

  99.     1. LTI SafeGard is distributed in full without modification 
  100.        or additions.
  101.        (see below for what constitutes the full package)
  102.  
  103.     2. BBS's are permitted to add 1 file providing information
  104.        about and promoting their own services, provided 
  105.        LTI SafeGard is not included as or implied as a part of
  106.        those services. 
  107. (We would appreciate a disclaimer to this effect in your document)
  108.  
  109.    3. If there is any question as to the integrity of the 
  110.       LTI SafeGard full package files, you must contact LTI to 
  111.       receive a MASTER COPY at no charge.

  113.    4. You must agree to all terms in the LTI license and warranty.
